Panton Hill Aromatica Originating in Sicily, Marsala was one of the most expensive and popular wines in Europe for more than a century. Despite an era when it was relegated to the kitchen, Marsala is enjoying a return to its former position of prestige. Strict new regulations in the 1980’s required Marsalas to be produced in the manner, which traditionally established their fame. Once again they are being ranked with the finest fortified wines of Europe. Aromatica is just such a wine. It is made observing traditional methods and vintaged over a number of years at Panton Hill. The result is a rich, dark and complex wine with a hint of caramel, and exotic spice. It has been described as Christmas pudding in a glass. It goes well with desserts, pastries, fruits and cheeses and is delicious on its own. If you have only tried modern copies, discover why the traditional style was so popular.
Other uses: Try it on ice cream or crushed ice in the summer. Make a real Tira Misu, or a Trifle with a Mediterranean twist. Use as a marinade for berries (especially strawberries), peaches or melon. Use as an up-grader for numerous desserts, when guests that you’d like to impress, arrive unexpectedly!
This wine can be drunk now or for many years into the future. |

Panton Hill Dorothy's Choice Muscat This delicious, fruity, fortified wine was made from Muscat grapes grown in the Rutherglen region of Victoria. Australian Muscat wines are world renowned, the best being made from the Rutherglen clone.
This is a blend of carefully selected vintages spanning the period of 1977 to 1997 (mainly the late 1970’s) The result is a wine which has both the depth, complexity and richness produced by aging, coupled with the freshness and fruit of a younger wine. Particularly evident are raisin, toasted almond and toffee characters that give it a luscious, mellow character, which is at the same time tangy. Try this with a good quality Cheddar or Blue Castello Cheese and biscuits.
This wine can be drunk now or for many years into the future. . |
