Picked late in the season, the wine produced has spent 18 months in French Barriques. The nose is full of fresh blackberries with the palate showing a little pepper on the finish. Matt's Take: "This Chardonnay is a little different to their normally creamy, fruit driven chardonnay's as it seems like this spent a little less time on oak as per usual, which has left it a little more acidic than normal. Like a lot of oaked chardonnay's, this should be drunk closer to room temperature than ice cold to bring out the complexities in the fruit characteristics." (Read more). |
