Storm Ridge YV NV Methode Champenoise / Pinot Noir This is the fourth release of Storm Ridge Cuvee and whilst not as “vegimitey” as some of our earlier sparklings, this is a far more sophisticated wine. Made from 85% Chardonnay (of which all but a small proportion is estate grown) and 15% estate Pinot Noir. This wine spent 24 months on lees and has only been recently disgorged. There is lovely yeast on the nose broadened by the predominance of Chardonnay used in the blend with just a hint of lemon and citrus flavours. On the palate, the wine has lovely freshness with some spicy Pinot characters, combining with the yeasty bread flavours. This sparkling wine is crisp with good acidity and length. Enjoy !! |
